What is the cost for the set-up and break-down time?
None! We will inflate all balls prior to start, refill during halftime (if needed), and deflate after your game is over. This time will not be counted against your rental time.
What else is included in the fee?
The fee includes bubble ball rental, a staff member, a referee, 2 soccer balls, 2 goals, and a bottle of Gatorade for each player. There may be an extra fee if an additional staff member is needed for larger groups.
What is the minimum number of bubbles I have to rent?
8 Bubble balls minimum.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing sports clothing and shoes. You will be running around for a while, why not be comfortable? (NO CLEATS!) For additional details please go to prepare for the game.
What additional equipment should I bring?
We provide you with all the equipment you need to play bubble soccer. You may want to bring water, a towel, sunscreen (remember you will be running around in the sun), and knee pads to make it easier to stand up in the bubble ball. This is not required, but more for comfort.
What size field is required?
All depends on the size of the party. A smaller playing field is recommended for more enjoyment. It’s more fun bumping into each other than having to chase someone down the field. A field that is the size of a basketball court works best for 5-vs-5 bubble matches.
We provide the equipment and you must supply the field. We can deliver between San Francisco to San Jose. We can recommend a list of parks in the area that you can play bubble soccer if needed.
Note: Bubble soccer can be played at most fields and parks. Please check with your local Park and Rec to reserve the field/gym.
What are the rules?
Bubble soccer is slightly modified from formal soccer rules. The referee will explain the rules of the game. Any challenges or objections will be decided by the referee. Please kindly RESPECT our referee’s decisions. It’s their goal and oath to provide the most fun, fair, and safe game possible. For additional details please go to see rules.
Is there a height or weight limit?
There is no specified minimum or maximum height/weight limit, however, PBS may take certain precautions and run a series of tests to avoid injuries and unsafe play. Participants must be properly secure in the bubble, be able to stand up, and carry the bubble.
If there are excessive signs of fatigue or injuries during play, then the player may be removed from the game at the referee’s sole discretion for safetly reasons.
Although we would like everybody to play and have fun, our main goal is to prevent unsafe play and injuries. We will do our best, but please remember that all players do PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Is there an age limit?
7 is the recommended minimum age, but some kids under the age of 7 may play if they properly fit into a bubble ball. Age is not as much of a concern than physical ability and size of children.
Do I need to sign the liability waiver?
Yes. The liability waiver needs to be signed before you can start using the bubble balls. A parent or guardian is responsible for signing the liability waiver for anyone under 18 years old. (No Exceptions)
What is the size and weight of the bubble balls?
The bubble balls are approximately 1.5m diameter and weighs about 10-13 pounds.
What’s the proper way of putting on the bubble ball?
It’s like putting on a backpack. Slide your arms through the two shoulder straps, which are then tightened to your comfort. Grab the handles, stand up, get hype, and start bumping around.
